Day 1 Depart your country.

2 Arrive Beijing – Met by the local guide and transferred to your hotel

in the central district.

3 Beijing – Guide will take you to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden

City. Walking tour of the Hutongs (old neighborhoods) Balance of

the day free. Dinner on your own this evening.

4 Beijing – Guide will take you through the countryside to the Great Wall

at MuTianYu with cable car included in both directions. BLD

5 Beijing – Guide will take you to the Summer Palace of the Qing Dynasty

with a stop at the Temple of Heaven & the Lama Temple. Special

Performance of the Peking Opera this evening. BLD

6 Beijing – Free Day today. Ask your guide about shopping at the Xui-Xui

Market better known as the Silk Market for bargains or just enjoy the

city on your own. B only.

7 Beijing/Xian by air. Guide will transfer you to the airport. In Xian

you will be met by the local guide and taken lunch before going to the

Shaanxi Provincial Museum in the afternoon. Transfer to your central

area hotel for a rest before dinner. Traditional Dumpling Dinner this

evening. BLD

8 Xian – Guide will take you to the World Famous Terra Cotta Warriors

site and to the HuaQing Pools once the Winter Palace of the Tang

Dyansty. Stop at the Jade carving workshop to see craftsmen carving

Jade and Silk Embroideries. Special Tang Dynasty Dinner and Show

this evening. BLD

9 Xian/Chongqing by air. Guide will take you to the City Wall and

the old Muslim Quarters and Mosque in the morning before lunch.
After lunch you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Chongqing.
In Chongqing you will be met by the local guide and taken on a tour of the
city to include the park exhibition of the Yangtze River Dam project.
After dinner you will be transferred to the Victoria Cruise dock for
boarding. BLD

10 Yangtze River Cruise – Details will be in the brochure. BLD

11 Yangtze River Crusie – Sail Through the Qutang and Wu Gorges. Off

boat excursion up the Daning River or Shennong Stream. Go through

the new 3 Gorges Dam Locks this evening and dock in YiChang. BLD

12 YiChang/Shanghai A bus will take you to the new Dam site for an up

                        close view of this world wonder. After lunch on the boat you will be
                        met by the local agent who will transfer you to the airport for your flight
                        to Shanghai. In Shanghai you will be met by the local guide and
                        transferred to your central area hotel. BLD

13 Shanghai – Guide will take you to the Yu Garden in the old district known

as the #1 garden in China. After lunch you will go to the Shanghai

National Museum. After an early dinner you will attend the famous

Shanghai Acrobatic performance. BLD

14 Shanghai/Suzhou/Shanghai – Your local guide will transfer you to the

train station for a short 30 minute train ride to Suzhou known as the

Venice of the East because of the many canals. Also known for its

formal gardens. Guide will meet you on the platform and take you to

the Humble Administrator?s Garden 2^nd best in China. You will visit

Tiger Hill Park , a Silk Factory and take a short boat ride on the

Grand Canal winding through the city. After dinner in Suzhou you

will be transferred back to the train station for your ride back to

Shanghai. BLD Transfer to your hotel by taxi on your own!

15 Shanghai/Home – Your guide will transfer you to the airport for your

flight home. B only.
