Bird Watching Tour Sichuan China

Day   1     Chengdu/Mt. Emei -  Birding guide will pick you up early from your hotel and

            go to Huanhuaxi Park which contains many species of birds.  Mid morning you

            will leave by car or bus to the sacred Buddist mountain of Emei.  After lunch

            we will be exploring the lower areas of Mt. Emei until dusk.  Transfer to

            a 4 star hotel at the foot of the mountain.  LD

      2     Mt. Emei/Mt. Wawu -  We continue exploring the lower part of the mountain

            which is at 2,400 feet above sea level.  Later we will go to Mr. Wawu sister

            mountain of Mt. Emei with less tourists and explore the base of that mountain.

            Transfer to local hotel best available in this area.  BLD

      3     Mt Wawu -  In the morning we take a cable car to the summit of the mountain

            which is at 10,000 above sea level to see the local species in the forest.  Lunch

            at Xiang Er Villa hotel on top of the mountain.  Continue to spot birds in the

            afternoon and then go back down the mountain by cable car and back to our

            hotel.  BLD

      4     Mt. Wawu - Flexible today to spot birds in several different areas to see birds

            which we may have missed yesterday.  (a complete list of birds is available

            to you for this trip)  Return to your hotel in the evening.  BLD

      5     Mt. Wawu/Chengdu - We will be driving slowly down the mountain to watch

            for birds as we head back to Chengdu and transfer back to our hotel.  BLD

Birding months best are from October through the end of June of the following year.  Physical

Difficulty ranges from Mostly easy to occasionally moderate.  A complete list of birds of this

area is available for the asking.  (over 180 species)
