Day     1          Depart the U.S.

            2          Arrive Beijing – Met by your Guide and transferred to your hotel.  D.

            3          Beijing – Guide will take you to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City where

                        you will visit the Imperial Gardens.  Guide will then take you to Beihai Park

                        before going to the Summer Palace with boat ride on Kunming Lake.  Special

                        Traditional Chinese Dinner tonight at the Dazhaimen Restaurant of Family Bai

                        which was the former home of Prince Li of the Qing Dynasty.   BLD

            4          Beijing – Guide will take you to the Great Wall at Mutianyu with the cable car

                        included both directions.   Returning to the city you will visit the famous Lama

                        Temple known for the 5 story tall Buddha carved from one tree trunk.  BLD 

            5          Beijing/Chengdu – In the morning you will visit Prince GongÕs Mansion Gardens

                        and the Temple of Heaven before lunch.  After lunch you will be transferred to

                        the airport for your afternoon flight to Chengdu.  In Chengdu you will be met

                        by the local guide and transferred to your hotel    BLD

            6          Chengdu – In the morning you will visit the Panda Experiment station when the

                        Pandas are more active.  Guide will then take you to the city of Leshan to view

                        the largest Buddha in the World carved into the side of a cliff .  This evening you

                        will have a famous Sichuan Hot Pot dinner.   BLD

            7          Chengdu – Guide will take you to see the Jinsha Relics Museum and gardens

                        before going to lunch at the famous Yi Private Gardens.  In the afternoon you will

                        visit the Wenshu Temple and Gardens and have tea with the local people where

                        they gather to enjoy the afternoon by playing board games, cards or just chatting

                        over tea.   This evening you will attend the famous Sichuan Opera performance

                        and perhaps go back stage to visit the Opera stars in person.  BLD

            8          Chengdu/Kunming/Xishuangbanna:   In the morning the guide will take you to

                        Du FuÕs Thatched Cottage and Park before lunch.  After lunch you will be

                        transferred to the airport for your afternoon flights to Xishuangbanna where you

                        will be met by the local guide and transferred to your hotel. BLD

9          Xishuanganna – Guide will take you to the Dai village of Ganluanba with a

            home visit .   Lunch in the countryside restaurant of traditional Dai food.

            After lunch you will visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens before returning to

            the city.   BLD

            10        Xishuangbanna – Guide will take you to Mengyang with a visit to the Hani

                        village to learn about this minority culture and traditions.  You will visit some

                        country markets on the way to Redai Zhiwuyuang Tropical Plant Research

                        Institute and Park.   Return to the city and dinner tonight at one of the local

                        restaurants.  BLD

            11        Xiahuangbanna/Kunming/Shanghai – Guide will transfer you to the airport for

                        your flights to Shanghai.  In Shanghai you will be met by the local guide and

                        transferred to your center city hotel.  Special Dinner tonight at the Ye Olde

                        Station Restaurant featuring special Shanghai cuisine.  BD  Evening free

            12        Shanghai -  Guide will take you to the Yu Garden recognized as the #1 garden

                        in China in the morning. After lunch you will be taken to the Shanghai

                        National Museum and an early dinner before going to the famous Shanghai

                        Acrobats Show this evening.   BLD

            13        Shanghai/Jingxi/Suzhou – Guide will take you by bus through the lake

                        country famous for Summer Homes of the Shanghai Officials during the Qing

                        Dynasty where you will see life as it has hardly changed in the last 100 years.

                        Arriving in Suzhou, you will transfer to your hotel.  This evening after dinner

                        you will enjoy Traditional Chinese music at the Garden of the Nets.  BLD

            14        Suzhou – Known  for Silk and over 84 Formal Gardens, you will visit the #2

                        garden in all of China the Humble AdministratorÕs Garden in the morning.

                        After lunch you will visit Tiger Hill Park where you will see an afternoon

                        performance of local talent and the Pagoda built in 1492 the year Columbus

                        was discovering America.  Guide will then take you to the Lingering Park

                        before transferring back to your hotel in Shanghai.  BLD

            15        Shanghai/home – Guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
