Day 1 Depart LiJinag by Jeep or private Bus over and through 4 mountains to
beautiful Lugu Lake situated at 8000 feet above sea level surrounded by
beautiful mountains and forests. The ancient Mosuo society lives along
the shores of this very large and beautiful lake with no motorized boats
allowed except dug out canoes of the Mosuo people. Transfer to your
modern hotel with western facilities. LD
2 Lugu Lake – Guide will take you to the lake shore where you will take
a dug out canoe with Mosuo people paddling out to one of the islands
to visit a Buddhist temple and Monk on this very quiet lake. After
returning to shore for lunch you will visit the village area seeing one
of the Matriarchal homes and the remainder of the village areas. After
dinner you will attend one of what they call ?The Party? in which the
local Mosuo do their ceremonial dances and singing to each other of
their love for each other each evening. BLD
3 Lugu Lake – Guide will take you around the lake by jeep or bus to
some of the other local villages and visit homes of the Musuo
people near Lige. If the road is open you will go to another village
which has a remote Buddhist Monastery and home of the leading
Monk who lives in a mansion by himself. Return to your hotel
in the late afternoon for dinner. BLD
4. Lugu Lake – Guide will take you on a hike in the near by hills around
the lake or you may enjoy the freedom of enjoying the lake on your
own by renting a dug out canoe to go out on this very calm and beautiful
lake and exploring one of the islands or other side of the lake. BLD
5 Lugu Lake/LiJiang – You will depart after breakfast for your trip back
to LiJinag with this segment of your tour ending with your arrival back
in LiJiang. BL
